Ayurveda is fundamentally governed by the science of the doshas and at Sannyasa Wellness and Spa, we check the doshas before administering any of our Ayurvedic therapies so as to provide a more personalised approach to health. Our massages are very traditional, whether part of a comprehensive Ayurveda programme or simply a walk-in massage. They are deeply relaxing, therapeutic and at times healing when needs be.

Healthy Eating and Weight Loss
We bring the ancient wisdom of healthy eating - Eating for your doshas. Our bodies are made up of three different dosha types: Vata, Pitta and Kapha corresponding to our physical and personality traits. Each of these doshas is a combination of two of the five basic elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space).
The five basic elements are also distributed in the six tastes known in food such as Sweet, Sour, Salty, Pungent, Astringent and Bitter.
So, identifying your dominant dosha type brings in a health intelligence of how to harmonise the elements within us by picking particular food tastes that would counterbalance our dosha type. We can therefore turn our daily meals into more restoring our health than aggravating it.
At Sannyasa Wellness and Spa, we have noted among our patients that eating in line with the dosha type not only brings the healthiest balanced state but also results in weight loss, simply because the healthiest balanced state cannot possibly imply overweight or underweight for that matter. The Healthy Path
Sannyasa Wellness and Spa was founded on the principle of the Tridosha concept. We are not all built the same way. According to Ayurvedic philosophies, our bodies are not of the same constitution (dosha) of Kapha (Water and Earth), Pitta (Fire and Water) and Vata (Air and Space). These elements determine the strengths and weaknesses of the body but often deviate from their original composition due to our life styles and food habits.
In ancient times, Ayurvedic practitioners would usually check the body constitution of the five basic elements (Prakriti Analysis) before prescribing any form of remedies. Sannyasa Wellness and Spa basically adopts the same techniques. We provide comprehensive prakriti analysis including pulse analysis prior to starting any of our programs. We ensure that we remain in line with the five basic elements and reinforce them as we go.
Unlike the science of modern medicines, we refuse to believe that any particular cure can be suited to everyone. Each of our treatments is tailored in relation to the individual's own body constitution, making it a unique service for the individual in particular.
